Self-deception is the process or fact of misleading ourselves to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid. Self-deception, in short, is a way we justify false beliefs to ourselves. We only have your say so, which is speculation at best. If I look hard enough at the horoscopes that are made up, I'll find sort of a "fit" somewhere.
