It is amazing how different our attitudes about cooking are. Nilda Bafia: Not just cook, but sew, clean, and all the other household chores that are typically "woman's work"That said girls should learn basic car maintenance, cut the grass and all the typical "men's work". I grew up in a house where the girls did the dishes and the house work and the boys took out the trash and cut the grass. We always felt that it was unfair that that was all they had to do. Coleman Ocegueda: When I was at school, boys had to cook and sew - I felt embarrassed and it was my wonderful Grandad who made me feel better by saying there was nothing wrong with knowing how to cook and sew. Men should not only be able to cook, they should be able to clean, do their own laundry, and have at least basic sewing skills.
