Eli Trapeni: this brochure is for him. my friend made me one but i lost it,
Cuc Gire: A couple of years ago, I remember seeing a consumer scam alert that some of the supposed 'baby' detergents were no different than generic, unscented detergent. So, I've never seen it as necessary to buy Dreft or any special baby brands. I just buy regular unscented laundry soap, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. I also use unscented dryer sheets. Both my fiancee and I have really sensitive skin; we've never had any problems and neither has baby. Good luck!
Logan Bero: Instead of giving him things that are considered girl things (which could result in him being made fun of, or confused), why not just paint the room a NUETRAL color like yellow or green (that's what i did) and not give in to the 'boy' types like trucks and cars, and get him toys that are suitable for boys and girls, not just 'girls'. Things like playdoh and mr potato heads...And why would you want a boy tha! t didnt understand that he wasnt one of the girls...that's just asking for trouble later on when he is trying to define his sexuality (I am in no way saying this would make him gay cause that is not something that is learned)
Mark Villifana: That is ridiculous. You more than likely had to sign a consent form for the CT scan. They usually don't do a CT scan unless the mom's life is in danger.
Phillip Modafferi: I bought baby all when i got pregnant and i used it the first time for all her clothes that people gave me. But i think a few of her things got mixed up in my load and i use gain and she seemed to be just fine and that was when she was 3 weeks. But it all depends if they get a rash then def. change to baby or no scent.
Rivka Killmer: Well, first of all I pray your baby is okay. Sometimes they just like to scare us a little;)Second of all, the only way you would be able to sue if something has happened to your baby, would be if you could prove that! the hospital was somehow responsible for that. Bloodwork, CT! scan, etc. are not likely to cause harm to your child. What took you to the ER in the first place-could THAT have caused an issue?...Show more
Benita Nancy: My son walls were white when he was born...but as he got older he loved the cartoon dora the explorer. My son had to have dora slippers and teeshirts and what not. My son is now 5 years old and trust me, he is all boy. But his favorite color is purple and his walls are now three shades of purple he picked out himself. Please by all means try to help to break down the stereotype.
Pam Rampadarat: You're really jumping to conclusions. I'm sure everything is fine. Why did you go to ER yesterday? Was anything wrong then? The tests they performed are basic and harmless, I would say you have no case if there is something wrong.
Cole Desher: There have been studies on this and it actually does not make a difference. Boys will still be boys. Babies can recognize gender differences at a very young age.! Besides, it is impossible to completely eliminate gender stereotypes from affecting how he is raised. As long as those around him know that he is a boy, he will still be treated as a boy -Even unintentionally, because that bias is so deeply a part of our society. So based on my studies (BS in Psychology) and my experience, I would say no.
Serena Doak: You should paint the walls white or yellow and as he gets older, let him pick out the colors and whether he plays with a doll or a truck give him the choice of both, let him decide.
Betsey Muehlbach: I played with girl and boy toys as a child. I liked Tonka trucks and He-Men just like the rest of the boys....but when my sister got a Barbie doll I wanted one too. I still remember her, Peaches and Cream barbie. I also had Cabbage Patch kids and Kousas., My Little Pony, etc. As an adult I find it easier to communicate with girls then most of my counterparts, who seem to still consider them scary and perhaps of a ! different species altogether.I am not as much of a guy's guy as a lot o! f my male friends. Which is fine by me.
Rosalia Hibler: I use the same detergent that I use on my clothes. I used to use powdered Tide HE, but I'm doing so much laundry now that I switched to the powdered Kirkland (Costco) HE brand. I also use Clorox 2 (color-safe bleach) and Downey fabric softener.I was just careful to watch for any rashes or skin irritations. Fortunately, my DD did not have any issues. If she had, I would have switched to a "baby" brand (such as Dreft) just for her clothing....Show more
Carli Watterson: No. Each child needs to express itself no matter of gender, right or wrong. I have a friend whose son wanted a princess canopy at 9 years old. She let him have it because she wanted him to express himself and not feel like he had to fit into a box.Do what you want, if he doesn't like it when he's older, he'll say somehing
Chastity Doderer: you don't need to use special baby detergent...just get something fragrance free.
Leticia ! Laiben: I have a son and a daughter, they share a room that is painted half blue, half purple. They both play with dolls, trucks, blocks, tea sets, rescue heroes, super heroes. My son just started school and is very much a little boy, out going, energetic, loud, loves bright colours. My daughter is almost 3 likes pink, princesses, is quiet, loves to wear dresses. I have tried to keep their toys, books and room gender neutral, but my children are NOT gender neutral!
Kenneth Queener: I have this brochure but I don't want my son to rip it up, How can i make it into a baby book that soft and flexible so he won't get hurt. I would like it like the ones you buy at the stores that the baby can chew on and it will be allright.
Warren Kotter: It would be kinda hard to prove they did anything. what did you go to the ER for? Nothing you described would have harmed your baby. Im sure everything is fine babies do sleep in the womb they dont move all the time.
Augu! st Hubbard: To answer your question, yes you can sue for anything you w! ant, but it doesn't mean you have a case. You need to calm down, and wait to see what your dr. has to say.
Mandy Mustaro: Not sure thats possible. If you dont want it destroyed, ripped or chewed on, your best bet is to keep it out of baby's reach. They make tons of books meant for baby that are inexpensive. Invest in one and let him go to town.EDIT- Then just keep it until he is older and can "play nice" with it...??...Show more
Hobert Dula: okay so yesterday i went to the ER and they did a bunch of stuff to me like take blood and look at my heart and a CT scan well today no movement before i went to the ER my son was healthy and moved and now i have no movement all dont tell me to go to the doc because i am going right now just waiting for my husband to get read but could i sue if they killed him?
Stanton Valdivia: I have 2 little girls and I just had a son and I wondered the same thing but from birth you could just see the masculinity in my son. Abso! lutely no feminity in him whatsoever. He plays rougher and is just so harder than the girls. Sometimes I think its impossible to change.
Doreatha Kjellsen: When I was pregnant my daughter never moved alot after we had gone to the doctors..quit worrying about it...and to answer your question no you cannot sue because YOU signed consent forms.
Katheryn Skrobacki: you can use what you use for your clothes. if you notice that a skin rash develops on your baby then consider purchasing a sensitive skin , dye free, or baby detergent. No need to make changes or buy things that you can do without.I've never used the baby detergent but I have used the dye/ perfume free ALL and that worked fine for me. I use Tide now so I'll have to see if an allergy develops for my new baby and then I'll decide if change is necessary at that point....Show more
Elbert Donatelli: You don't really need to use special baby soap, just get any detergent that is fragrance/dye free. All ! makes some good stuff. You should still wash baby's things separately ! though for 2 reasons: 1: You (and the rest of your adult family) come in contact with many kinds of chemicals in the day without even realizing it. You don't want that in the baby's clothes. 2: Baby's clothes are soft, thin, and fragile. If they rub against our adult things in the wash (like jeans especially) it can make them wear out quicker, and baby's clothes also don't have the chemicals in them that keep them from absorbing dyes from other fabrics. You would hate for your other colors to bleed on baby's beautiful clothes....Show more
Hipolito Rightmire: The babes have really sensitive skin. Using a biodegradable detergent sans dyes or perfumes can save alot of skin irritation.
Carlton Lastrapes: I am sure everything is fine. I have had ct scans and x rays done while I was pregnant and everything is fine. Maybe baby is just resting which of course throws us mommies into a state of panic. But before you rush off maybe try drinking something cold an! d sweet and lying down on your left side for about 30 minutes! Best of Luck to you and be sure to let us know how it turns out!
Dorris Homola: laminate it, and round the corners with scissors so that they aren't sharp
Michel Mccaulley: We used Dreft for the first 6 Mo's , but honestly just get fragrance, dye free for sensitive skin, it's a whole lot cheaper!
Isaias Badgley: What would happen if I were to have a baby son, but paint his room pink, pink or hot colored clothing, and at the time of playing age, things such a dolls or mirrors. Would this help my child acquaint with girls more than boys like todays gender sterotypes? Because most families give there specific genders either a doll or a truck, boys hang out with only boys, while girls only hang out with girls. Could this end this sterotypes and have a boy playing with the girls not udnerstanding that he isnt one of them, or any other child along these lines?...Show more
Ileen Oshell: But my ! son always moves in the morning!
Alonso Crehan: Did you try to dr! ink a glass of orange juice and lay on your side for about 20 minutes?I use to do this and my babies would start moving in no time.Don't get yourself all stressed out, that's not good for you or baby.Just go to the doctor as you said and get checked.Good Luck..Also,don't be quick to want to sue before you even know what is going on.Seems nowadays people jump to that instead of getting to the problems and working thou it....Show more
Erin Arron: They have some washing powder called dreft they use to wash baby clothes in.
Lue Podewils: i tried using a hypo-allergenic shampoo (Purex, Tide, etc) but my son would break out in hives for some reason, so i went back to using Dreft and/or Target generic Dreft. it's expensive, and i have to wash EVERYTHING in it. even our clothes.
Letitia Bigelow: I used baby detergent for a while, but stopped because your baby's skin comes in contact with your clothes all the time, and my son never broke out with any rashes. I j! ust figured that I would use regular detergent unless it irritated his skin, and if it did then I would buy the dreft.
Sherri Drakos: The tests that you had done would not kill your baby. You really think that?? I understand you are worried, but I work in the ER and really, we are not in the habit of killing babies...good lord...if, God forbid, something happened, it wasn't the fault of the hospital.
Renita Sefton: My 2 year old daughter has a huge choice of toys to play with, she usually opts for the "girl toys". Like dolls, coloring books, kitchen toys, etc. She has many "boy toys" to choose from too, trucks, cars, tools, blocks, etc I think some how it is natural for her to want to play with the girl toys more. I don't know why, though.
Demetrius Coaster: Dreft is a baby laundry detergent and u should probably be using this. the babys skin is so soft and sensitive that u dont want to be using anything strong or scented on their clothes.
Chari! ssa Bichsel: I don't think that the color of his room is going to have ! an effect on which gender role your son will prefer, or lead him to be confused about what gender he is...at all...not even a little bit! My burly, macho little brother (now 28 with 4 kids) used to *love* to have his fingernails painted when he was 3-4 yrs old, and he loved He-Man and Hulk Hogan at the same time. Kids want to experiment, they're curious, they want to do what you're doing. Frankly I don't think that they're *nearly* as caught up in gender issues as the adults around them, especially when they're very young. Manipulating his environment (room color, etc) or dressing him in "feminine" colors would be superficial at best, and I can't see how it would really help him relate to girls any better, or turn him into a so-called girly man. If you're worried about him getting along with girls, put him in daycare where kids are not segregated by sex (I've never seen one that is, personally!), take him to the park/library/etc where he can make friends of both genders! . As for toys, I would say focus more on the educational and artistic and forget about gender-specificity. They're bound to get 'gender correct' toys from at least one family member, and if they're interested they'll play with it...if they're not, they won't. I wouldn't try to force the issue either way.
Neely Youngblut: No you will not have any action against the hospital. As a patient you could have refused treatment if you felt that it would harmful to your unborn child. but at this stage in your pregnancy your child will not "move on command" nor will he be active at all times of the day. you have to calm down otherwise you baby moves higher up into you body and cause you discomfort. i'm sure your son is perfectly healthy your just making something out of nothing.
