Bibi Tyron: Olla gardens.........which is an ancient technique from SW and Mexico where water is in a clay pot and oozes out through the pot and plants surround the pot. You can do similar with plastic jugs and holes that drip out water over a couple of days. Waffle gardens are used by SW native Americans.....the garden is planted in a series of depressions so any moisture collects in the depression. Or you can get large containers.......55 gal drums large, elevate them, hook a drip irrigation system to them. Refill the drums when you visit. Remember to mulch your garden plants well so sun/evaporation does not steal soil moisture....Show more
Cody Petrulis: Growing pot ? Water for a week ? You didn't say if there is a water supply at the garden area or if you have to bring it. So ? Fill 55 gallon barrels full of water and make a" drip irrigation system " from the barrels to the plants. No pump re! quired.
