Piedad Bassiti: It's never too early. Well maybe yeah if you did it in the middle of summer, but still, september is a month away from october, and they are already selling the decorations so why not?? I don't see it as a problem :P Unless it's already decorated like crazy then yeah I would take it down for a few more days. But just a little is fine.
Jed Mutone: I would say this weekend should be the earliest, but really no one should care. Decorate whenever you feel like it.
Christy Tirabassi: I say the earliest you should start is Sept 10th, but my family always starts on Oct. 1st or so. If you aren't sure, wait till you start seeing stuff at your neighbors houses and friends'
Keven Woodington: October 1st is great as long as your decorations can postpone for the full month. from time to time i'm going to attend till the 2d week of October to do my adorning. You do it once you like, it is your call, there at the instant are not set protocols after the! 1st! satisfied Halloween
Patrica Loertscher: No. I start decorating on November first for the next year! Not really but it's never too early.
Rona Ising: We're working on it. The easy decorations are slowly going up as we get the time and decide which ones we're using this year and which ones we've used too much the past few years and will stay in storage for a while longer. We've got a LOT of stuff for Halloween. We have a really big house so it takes us a while to decorate. Especially since we're all Halloweenies. LOL! We try to do one new "big" thing every year. Last year they "hung" me as I'm the smallest and lightest. Scared a lot of people when I started talking to them from 20 feet up in a tree, dangling from a noose (actually a harness, obviously). This year, one of my housemates is done with his current project (he's a contractor) and has nothing upcoming right away, so he's using some of our scrap lumber and other recycled/reclaimed things fr! om our big workshop to build a coffin. I already tested a bun! ch of hinges until I found some really loud, squeeky, creaky ones out there, and he'll put those on it. Another housemate does pyrographic art and is going to add strange and arcane symbols on it. When she's done with that, I'll stain the coffin and rough it up a bit, paint over some of the symbols and generally "age" the whole thing. We'll take turns hiding in there on Halloween and scare the dickens out of the swarms of kids we get every year. Told you we were Halloweenies. It's our favorite holiday in this house! ;-)...Show more
