Motorcycle Permit (PLZ HELP!)?

Coleman Ocegueda: Well, um...I don't know where you could buy one cheap that's new. I have a street bike but I bought it used for about the price you mentioned. I would suggest just going to the local dealers around where you live to see if you can find a bike, or if they have any. If not, you could place like, and ad in the paper saying that you are looking for a motorcycle for sale. Hope this helps! My question is here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArrdZ...

Alecia Kaehler: SORRY!!!!!!!!! I meant to say less than 2000.........i REALLY hope there is one!

Luis Farlow: You are not going to get either of those bikes you posted for years to come. First off they are too expensive, and if you tried those as your first bike you'll probably end up dead off the side of the road. Search craigslist and ebay and keep your mind open. A motorcycle is a motorcycle, its going to be cool no matter what it is. For that kind of money you could definatl! y get something decent sport bike from the 90s. You might want to look for a GS500 or something along those lines that have less fairing, so WHEN you drop it, it doesn't do much damage.btw... Motorcycles take alot more maintenance than cars. They eat through tires, you need to lube/adjust the chain, and check your tire pressure alot. also Dont forgot you need to buy gear with your bike as well. Even a low speed 20mph crash can land your *** in a ton of pain for months to come if your not wearing the right stuff....Show more

Rachal Osaki: So basically, how can i get an inexpensive sport motorcycle?

Is there a Dental Hygienist?

Is there a Dental Hygienist?

answers 0:HI!I am in college and I am thinking of majoring as a Dental Hygienist with my Associate's Degree. I only want to ask anybody with dental experience or if there is a Dental Hygienist, I will highly value your advice, i need to know what the salary usually is, how is it when working with different people when doing procedures. Pretty much the basic things. Where I am working it is not a dental environment and therefore I cant grasp the perspective of it. Please if there is a Dental Hygienist that can give me some experience information I would appreciate it with all respect!Thank You, God Bless...Show moreanswers 1:Well right now with the recession hygiene jobs are NOT plentiful. Dentists do not like to hire new grads so dont plan on being able to find a full time job in hygiene. Also I discovered that most dentists do not offer any benefits! (no sick days, no vacation days, buy your own uniforms, and not even any health insurance). The hygiene program is hard to get into so you cant just switch your major. You have to apply and it could take years to get into. Nursing is the same way but a nursing career has more jobs than hygiene....answers 2:I love being a Dental Hygienist (most of the time!) Some patients that you will work on are great and others can be difficult. You had better not mind the site of blood though, since a lot of people do not floss. The best thing that you can do is ask your personal Dentist's office if you can come in to observe the Hygienists since that's what you're thinking of doing. If you don't have a Dentist (you should!) then call a few offices around your area to ask. The program that I went through wanted me to have 6 hours of observation with a Hygienist to even apply to the program. Most colleges will want you to get a form from them to have documentation of your hours spent. You! ''ll want to bring that with you to the office if the college ! requires it so that the Hygienist can fill it out for you and sign it.That's a great way to see what the job entails and get a different perspective. As for salaries, that really depends on where you live. City vs suburb, small/big towns etc. Go on a site like salaries.com and see what ranges they give. The economy and too many schools putting out Grads is making the job market a bit difficult now but I'm sure its like that for lots of careers. Best of luck to you! :)...

Car buying advice? American Car with around 40k or Lexus SUV with 80-100k?

Ronny Dorge: great taste in cars, but, if you likethe camry, you would probablylike the chrystler 300, malibu, or the impala. lexus SUV's are nice, but its scarytaking them out in the cold! hahaand for the american car, or the lexus,go for the american because they'reproven to be more reliable than foreign....Show more

Agustina Stimmel: I would definitely not get american. Instead of the Lexus, (like you said, it's just a nicer Toyota), why not get a Toyota? Would have less mileage than the Lexus, but still the same good reliable car/SUV? I would look for a newer Camry, Avalon, Sequoia or Highlander. These will last much longer than any Chevy, Chrysler. Just pick up a Consumer Reports and look for reliablility for the cars you want. And 'Brooklyn' is wrong, I don't know where she is getting the info that American will last longer than Japanese....Show more

Lanita Reichman: Generally speaking, a Toyota with 80k would be lower maintenance and would last longer th! an a domestic with that many miles. Mile for mile, almost all Japanese cars are lower maintenance and longer life-expectancy than all domestics, with few exceptions. 80k miles is not a lot for a Lexus - trust me I've driven Toyota/Lexus cars with more than 300'000 miles. The only way a domestic would get that far is if you transplanted the engine and transmission - and that's based on my experience as a mechanic.Lexus parts and service will be more expensive, and you will have more trouble if you work on it yourself because domestic cars are known for their simplicity and availability of parts. However, the maintenance will be higher for domestics, so it's a trade-off. I would go with the Toyota/Lexus. They will last you a lot longer and the engineering is MUCH better than any of the cars you listed. I used to love domestics, but they have let me down so many times, and the newer the car, the more likely it will be better than a domestic....Show more

Jinny Dronen: I'd! shy away from domestics and high mileage imports.Buy somethin! g affordable that's not half dead.

Alexis Reyer: Wow, hardly any of the previous answers has mentioned a car COMPARABLE to a Saturn Aura! I guess most people don't read the questions, lol. I've owned nothing but new Chevys for over 35 years and have never had any major problems with any of them. I would suggest checking out the Chevy Malibu, they are really nice cars and VERY comparable to a Saturn Aura. They are also highly rated and recommended by Consumer Reports testing laboratories.

i don't play sports but i want to be an officer in the navy?

i don't play sports but i want to be an officer in the navy?

answers 0:i'm an incoming sophomore in highschool, and i want to do that thing in the navy where if i do the training and be an officer, i can get the free tuition and become a dentist.but i don't play ANY sports.i'm kinda small (5'6-5'7) not that athletic. i mean i'm about average if not better than most at sports in generalit's not that i'm too lazy to play sports it's just that i haven't played anything i LIKE to playi'm an all A's and 1B student (on average) (if that makes a difference)If you need more info and want to help me (cuz your experienced in my position), plz message me...Show moreanswers 1:When I was once within the military, we did tons of going for walks to and from categories and lectures. Wednesday arvos had been sporting activities days. There is such a lot possibility! to run and do sporting activities and teach to your spare time as good. You'll have a laugh suppose me. If you become a member of the RAN you'll be able to love the SH*T run.answers 2:well since you wantt to be a Dentist USNA is right out as they only produce Line officers. which is good because EVERY semester you WILL play a sport. so that leaves ROTC.. only problem they too only rpoduce Line officers and only a teeeny tiny number ever get picked up for continued education.. and since you need the 4 year degree before you can apply apply to dental school...how do you plan on paying for it? while sports are not a major deciding factor the fact is comparing you to somebody equally qualified who also played basketball all through HS.. the Jock is gonna get the scholarship. the Navy wants well rounded individuals....answers 3:You don't have to play sports to be in the military. Just stay in shape by running doing push ups and sit ups. You're only a sophomore so you ha! ve plenty of time to get in shape. I'm 5'6 and am leaving for! OCS in November so Size doesn't matter. My favorite saying "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog"Your grades don't really matter either. As long as you do well on the ASVAB and get a degree then you'll be fine....answers 4:hey mrs. jvb, i think you completely forgot about staff corps officers, which is to what i was inferringanswers 5:The great thing about the Navy is it requires less physical ability then the Army or Marines, with the exception of SF groups. Look online to see what the physical training requirements are for the Navy. If you want to be an officer, keep your grades up and apply for ROTC or the Naval Acadamy next year. You should also look to get involved. Officers are leaders and if you dont have experience on the field or court, you need to set yourself apart by having other leadership experience eg: student goverment, church leadership positions, community service or charity work. You need to sell yourself to ! a board and tell the Navy why they want you, and not why you want them. OCS is an option if you finish college, however OCS is used to fill Officer positions left over after the Acadamy and ROTC fill them. As a result, selection may be limited or more difficult in 7-8 years. http://www.military.com/military-fitness/navy-fitn......

Pay for car maintenance?

Geraldo Mccalla: Unless you own a BMW you will have to pay for regular maintenance.BUT you need not take it to to the dealer. Most shops can do this for you and if you keep the paper work to prove you have had it done, the warranty from the factory is still good. But this is much less costly way to have the work done.

Jeff Frizzell: True and false. While basic oil changes and Fluid replacements are maintenance services that you have to pay for. Now your warranty pays for any problems with your car. Example: You've had an oil change every 3,000 miles. You engine breaks and you find out its a valve that went bad. Your warranty covers you because you've changed the oil regularly. So the part just went bad and it was not your fault so you covered, No Problems. Now here's another example: Your Transmission needs servicing every 30,000 miles. You wait until 50,000 miles toservicee the trans. A part goes bad in the trans. Since you did not service the trans when it w! as due. Your warranty won't cover your transmission repair....Show more

Norine Lomonte: Unless it is part of your new car plan (so many free oil changes) . You will have to pay for the maintenance yourself . However many reputable dealerships will perform a free multi point inspection . Anything that is not driver wear (ie belt brakes and tires) may be covered under warranty

Kip Ockenfels: Well, like most of us, mechanics aren't charity workers, they need to be paid for services. Warranty is for repair and replacement, not for checks, so I suggest you likely should be paying. However, some vehicles are sold with pre-paid maintenance checks included. I suggest, if you are taking your car to the dealer that sold it to you that, if you are being charged, you do not have one of those deals. I have never had one of those deals, in 43 years of driving.
